Hello and welcome to my blog. If you like flowers and gardens, housey stuff, food and banter, then this is the place for you. I am a decorative artist, florist and maker of things. I sell painted furniture, plants and crafts, through a local retail shop, in my native Ireland, and wedding flowers from home. I am married to a lovely patient man and have a smashing little girl. Blue and White

I thought you might like to see a couple more of my little collages, on the theme of blue and white this time. I love blue in all it's varieties, and never seem to tire of it, especially blue and white china. I am a little busy with work at the moment, so I do apologise for such a short post. Wishing you all a very happy and productive week, love Linda x

  10. Dear Linda,

Here am I another headless chicken popping in to say 'hello'. I've enjoyed catching up with the few posts I have missed. Blue and white china always makes me think of fifteenth, sixteenth-century Holland with such books as "Tulip Fever" and, of course "The Girl With A Pearl Earring". Blue and white tiles in Dutch Kitchens are heavenly to me. I remember seeing the collection of Islamic ceramics at the Louvre which were mostly white, blue, and turquoise in colour.

I hope you are well and thank you so much for mentioning my giveaway a few weeks ago.

  12. My favorite combination, and I LOVE the mix of patterns together too. My dishes are white, which I like because they work in any situation, but if I were to ever buy dishes again, I think I'd go to the flea markets and 2nd hand stores and buy a mix of vintage dishes. :)
Hope you have a lovely one, Linda!
    Hugs,
    Zuzu

  13. Hello Linda:
We are desperately late in coming to this post for which many, many apologies. Like you, we love blue and white, particularly in the case of china, and have, in our time, made blue and white borders in the garden, a colour combination which always works well.

  14. Hey Linda, I got home from Oz the other day and guess what was waiting for me...a lovely parcel of goodies....thankyou so much for your generosity...the knitting is perfect and the card and little hearts are very cute and clever. They certainly went a long way towards cheering me up upon return from home. Robx
