I sell painted furniture, plants and crafts, through a local retail shop, in my native Ireland, and wedding flowers from home. I am married to a lovely patient man and have a smashing little girl. Have phone cover...will travel!

Just a quick little post to let you see the phone covers we got from the talented Wendy at 15 Coast Road. Initially I got the camper van for my husband because he loves them, and the red phone box for me. My daughter was not to impressed that she was left out, so I asked Wendz if she could make one with a dog on. No sooner had I asked, she was on the case and whipped up Fred the scottie dog, so everyone is delighted. Thank you Wendz! Check out her wonderful blog, full of wit and wisdom and great charity shop bargains, and her Etsy shop for all her wonderful makes.

Also, I thought you might like this idea for plant markers from Martha Stewart Magazine.

Wishing you all a wonderful week, with love, Linda x

  1. Those are some of the cutest little covers I've ever seen :)
I love those plant markers - so clever.
Re our roadtrip, the outskirts of Dubai are definitely remote! And you can see why we get sandstorms! It really makes me miss the beautiful green of Ireland.

  3. Hello Linda:
Yes, we know of Wendz at 15 Coast Road and these phone covers are absolutely charming. Wendz is extremely creative and skilled and we always find her to be incredibly self-effacing about her many talents. How wonderful that you all now have a personalised phone cover, so much nicer than the amorphous versions on sale everywhere!

  4. They are very sweet, Linda! I keep losing my phone and, I'm sure that, if I had a cover for it, that will go "walkies" too! I'm so bad!

I love the idea, though, and the Martha Stuart plant label "thing" is such a great idea!

    CIAO!

  8. Hi there my friend. Always good when I see your name appear on my Blog Roll! What cute little phone covers, and I can quite see why your dear daughter felt left out, until she got her own little doggy one! What a great idea those plant name things are! I will certainly have to use that idea. Take care and see you again soon. Hugs xx

  9. Oh LInda - how kind and lovely to do such a shout out. Thank you. The covers look very sweet altogether like that.

Cracking idea for the plant markers - I have plans to sort out my herb garden soon and those are just the ticket.

  12. Those are brilliant phone covers - I love the fact you have a family set! Brilliant idea for plant labels. My old headteacher did something similar to mark his veg rows and the sticks rooted and started growing!
Sorry I haven't popped by in ages, hope all is well with you.

  13. Hi Linda
I love your phone covers. I can just see the three of you going out for lunch and having a stack party (where each one parks their phone on the dining table and the first one to answer their phone or text during a meal, pays the bill)

Hope the weather is being kind and that you have a wonderful weekend

  16. Dear Linda,

How lovely it is to be back to visit your blog after a month away. First things, I simply wanted to say what an amazing job you did on Lois's bedroom. Your daughter is a lucky, lucky girl but she probably knows that, I imagine. I like the simple starkness of her colour choice and, as in all the best relationships, it is marvellous you managed to find a small compromise by adding a splash of yellow and red.

I have also enjoyed reading about your garden and greenhouse. The stick plant markers are very sweet.

I hope you are well and happy and I imagine you are having the same blustery weather we are experiencing here in France?

  17. Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'Robyn's Nest.' Your blog is lovely. I noticed the post with the blue tea cups. I was just telling a bloggy friend that I'm not sure why, but my favorite tea cups are the blue ones. My daughter went to Australia a few years ago and had the most wonderful time. Me and my daughters started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is filled with beautiful pictures. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
