Hello and welcome to my blog. If you like flowers and gardens, housey stuff, food and banter, then this is the place for you. I am a decorative artist, florist and maker of things. I sell painted furniture, plants and crafts, through a local retail shop, in my native Ireland, and wedding flowers from home. I am married to a lovely patient man and have a smashing little girl. I blog for the fun of it. Thank you for listening.

Feeling Crafty?

Does the change in the weather make you start to think of nights in by the fire, busily creating all manner of crafts? Well, if that's you and you haven't checked out Pinterest yet, let me tell you, it is the most wonderful place to find craft inspiration, ideas and tutorials. I had intended to let you see a few varied pics, but there are so many gorgeous ideas, I am afraid I have included rather a lot! However, even if you are not crafty, some of the images may inspire you for ideas for your home, or ideas of what presents to buy someone for Christmas. I am constantly surprised and amazed and thrilled by what I find. Only this evening I found a link to the original performance of 'Riverdance' when it was on the Eurovision Song Contest. My husband and I had been talking about it the day before, as my daughter has just started Irish Dance classes. We said how it made the hair on the back of our necks tingle, when we first saw it, and I was delighted to find that it still does. So without further ado, here's the picture show, I hope you enjoy it..........

There are some very talented people out there! I would love to know what craft projects you have 'on the go' or are planning to do over the winter. Do pop in and leave me a little note, I would love to hear from you. Wishing you all a very creative week, Love Linda x

  5. Great pictures, especially taken with the felt envelope. I make knitted ones, and handsewn ones too from vintage fabrics, but have never tried felt. It looks so lovely, am going to have to do it for a special friends' birthday.
At the moment I am crocheting a stripy, very colourful baby blanket, and knitting vintage style tea cosies to sell on my blog, along with vintage style hottie covers.

  6. Hello Linda
Thank you for stopping by my blog :) I had a nice time away but got caught in the storm on the way back home... very frightening. Hope you are ok as I know it has crossed Ireland.
I love Riverdance and it always makes my back tingle when I see it too ... just amazing!
I love all your images. I would like to be more creative, but with work and RDA (and blogging!) I don't seem to find the time.
Hope Lois is enjoying her Irish dance lessons :)
    Lots of love, Abby xx

Mise, thankyou so much for popping in, I am glad you found something of interest. I think children might like this quick way of making pom-poms. Love Linda x

Hello Raindrops and Daisies, we all have our own individual talents. My youngest sister used to get frustrated as she seemed to be the only one in our family who wasn't 'arty', but she has a great way with wit and words and is also rather good with a makeup brush! Thanks for your encouraging words, love Linda x

  12. Linda, I'm not crafty at all. The only craft I do is sit on my bottom and look at the internet so I win the sitting and looking award.
