The big 50!!!

A few little goodies to take home.
This was at home, but just to make up for lack of photos at Betty's!
Today I am 50......... I can't believe it. I don't feel any different to when I was 20. My present from my husband was a trip to England to visit my friends and re-visit old haunts. It was a lovely present, we all had a great time. On the last day of our trip we were in the Yorkshire Dales. We started off by having breakfast at Bettys in Harrogate. It is a charming tea-room with old-fashioned service in wonderful Art Noveau style surroundings it really is a must if you are in Harrogate. Sadly, we slipped up by not taking any photograps.
A lovely entrance, don't you think?

We moved on from Harrogate to Bolton Abbey, the site of the ruined Priory and delightful walks, with equally delightful tearooms. (I am rather obsessed by these).

We really had a great time, but now I need to concentrate on work!

My birthday has been made extra special because Gill from Gillyflower has very kindly given me a

award, I am thrilled and shocked at the same time. Thankyou Gill I will pass it on to deserving blogs when I have had time to think it through. Wishing you all a productive and happy week, love Linda x.

  9. Hi Linda,

Happy Birthday for yesterday, hope you had a very special day.

Yorkshire looks lovely, the last time I was there was when I was 12 on a school trip but I've never forgotten it. I know exactly what you mean about tearooms, they're wonderful places. Glad you enjoyed it.

I too, will have the very same special birthday in June. It seems like such a big number and I can't quite believe it's just around the corner.

Thank you so much for dropping by my blog and becoming my third follower.

    Have a good day.

  10. Happy Birthday. Hope you had a lovely day
I can't believe that you went to Bolton Abbey - I lived a mile away from there for 10 years, such a gorgeous place.
Betty's was also a favourite spot of mine, so it's so nice to see these photos.

  11. Congratulations to you Linda!!!
    Happy 50th!!
Looks like you had a wonderful time celebrating.
I know exactly how you feel about still feeling 20 - I had my 50th last year and to be honest I'm glad its out of the way! Its now not looming there as it was for a year or two, getting ever closer!!! Its over!!!!!! Cos you dont feel any different!
You can now just get back on with your life, filling it more and more cos the one thing you do realise at 50 is that life is so precious and time passes so quickly so you have to grab every moment and make it count.
I'm so glad that my award came at a good moment for you - and so well deserved!
    Have a great day Linda
