Hello and welcome to my blog. If you like flowers and gardens, housey stuff, food and banter, then this is the place for you. I am a decorative artist, florist and maker of things. I sell painted furniture, plants and crafts, through a local retail shop, in my native Ireland, and wedding flowers from home. I am married to a lovely patient man and have a smashing little girl. I blog for the fun of it. Thank you for listening.

Pinterest is the new black!

So the poster says anyway! I have been  burning the midnight oil learning about Pinterest, a website where you can collate images unto boards of your chosen subject. As I am not great with computers and
related terminology, I haven't quite worked it all out yet, but I am having a lot of fun collecting wonderful photos and words. I think one of the things I love most about blogging are the wonderful images that people share, together with the written word they are very powerful I feel. I haven't yet found any friends, so its just me on my lonesome, but I'm not worried, I will just take my time to find my feet .It is very addictive and you can spend an awful lot of time doing it, but I don't have too much time at the moment, so that's probably a good thing. My user name is  "flowersonmytabl" I couldn't put the e on the end as you are only allowed 14 symbols! Here are some of my recent "pins", I hope you enjoy them. Love Linda x.

Ciao, enjoy the rest of the week!

  2. I agree on all counts re Pinterest! It could suck hours out of my day, if I had hours to sit on the computer. I haven't quite figured it out, and I think I have a whopping one friend. I will find you on there if I get the chance :)

  4. Hello Linda:
These are wonderful and such, such fun. Highly imaginative, totally creative ideas which we are so pleased you have shared. They have certainly brightened our day.

So little are we au fait with modern technology, we had no idea of the existence of Pinterest. As it is, we sometimes struggle to arrange a few images on our blog let alone be able to move on to this, as we see it, advanced level.

  5. Hi Linda!
This sounds and looks intruiging! Love your "pins",especially the Julia Childs one! Even though I would love to be a "friend" on this I daren't go exploring this as I just know i will find it addictive and i dont even have time to keep on top of blogging let alone another computer distraction!
    Enjoy it!!!

  6. Linda,
A friend sent me a link to join, and I did, but I've not looked at the site. I got on and I saw all this follow stuff and it looked like twitter. I may have to get more involved though because I love the images you picked. That is neat! I"m on there as myself, I guess. I don't even know now, but since my name is all over my blog then you can find me.

  9. Woop Woop! I can comment again. A blessing indeed!
I have seen quite a few people raving about Pinterest and I did go onto the website. It looked a little complicated to start off with, but I guess I just need time to sit down and work it all out. I really liked your photo choices.

  10. I have resisted Pinterest until now - am scared of the time-wasting aspect of it. But, most evenings, whilst hubby is watching TV, I mostly do computery things (am not much interested in TV shows) so why not play a bit on Pinterest?! I shall request an invitation today!

You've chosen some interesting images - also love the Julia Childs one. And the Pancakes thingy too. Made me smile. (I love typography).

  13. Thank you for your kind words on my post Linda, it is very much appreciated.
I am having difficulty getting my head around Pinterest so have not joined in yet.
I am also not able to remove the white border around my blog pictures so think I am just not good at figuring stuff out at all!
I hope you have a lovely weekend. Abby xx

  14. I've requested my invitation! Am waiting eagerly. Hahaha - I suspect I might regret this....can see many wasted hours ahead. Well OK not exactly wasted, as inspiration and enjoyment have their place too!
